Giving Tuesday marks the start of our year-end fundraising drive.  While 2017 has marked a great run of events and partnerships, we need funds to support our core neighborhood and schools programs.

We need resources to support our Neighborhood Open Play program to provide free after-school and Saturday family sessions.  In the past this program has been led by a community mentor and sustained by sponsorship support, but we are currently without a mentor or a sponsor, and the program is on hiatus.  Our goal is to relaunch the program in January with at least 3-5 days/week of free sessions during the week.

We’re also focused on expand our Schools Program by offering more field trips and out-of-classroom excursions to get kids out, about, experiencing the City and learning firsthand about New Orleans’ culture and built environment.  For the second semester of 2018 we have a hit list of cultural excursions including the Prospect 4 triennial exhibitions, new architectural landmarks like Crescent Park and avant garde spaces like the Music Box Village.
