Five Ways You Can Help

  1. Make a financial contribution – Please donate via check or PayPal. If you want to be directly involved in helping us fundraise, or in connecting us to sources of grant or foundation funding or corporate sponsorship, we’d love your support. Please connect with us by email at info@playbuild.org, subject line: FUNDRAISING

  2. Volunteer – PlayBuild is 100% powered by people. Since inception, our efforts have been the labor of love and the result of countless hours of work of an extended network of supporters. We currently need volunteers to support our on-site activities at Thalia Street as well as our community and event partnerships. If you have a flexible schedule, a background in working with kindergarten and elementary school kids, a passion for design, architecture, the built environment and fostering civic engagement among young people, please reach out. You can link to our current volunteer openings here, or you can email us at: info@playbuild.org, subject line: VOLUNTEER

  3. Connect us to other like-minded organizations and causes – we’d love to meet others in New Orleans or further afield that are committed to doing the same things that we are:
    -Transforming neighborhoods
-Educating kids about design & architecture
-Exposing young people to new realms of opportunity through creative learning and playIf you are somebody we should know, or you know somebody we should know, give us a shout-out here on Facebook, or via email at info@playbuild.org, subject line:  WE SHOULD MEET

  4. Contribute materials, books, toys, and games We want PlayBuild to be a unique dynamic creative environment full of new cool stuff that inspires kids to build. Our focus is on design, architecture and city planning. Here are some examples of things that inspire our PlayBuilders:
-Children’s books about design and architecture to stock our Uni shelves
-Educational materials about architecture and urban planning suitable for elementary and middle school kids 4-12
-Kids’ books about New Orleans’ history and historic architecture especially focused on specific neighborhoods
